Introduction.

CleanNow is proud to present our first annual Diversity & Inclusion Report. As we prepare for expansion in 2019, we are committed to making intentional choices ensuring we are an open and inclusive workplace.

Gender Identity.

Reality Check: Both the technology field and the cleaning industry are dominated by cisgender men.
2019 Goal: Promote a more diverse workforce, with an emphasis on female-led cleaning partners.

GSD Identification.

We have chosen to swap the acronym LGBTQIA++, for the more inclusive term GSD: Gender and Sexual Diversity. We have a responsibility in 2019 to put our GSD policies into action, by hiring GSD team mates and recruiting GSD cleaning partners to our ever expanding network. We do not currently employ or partner with anyone from the GSD community.

Race & Ethnicity.

Reality Check: Consistent inequality and injustice in the workplace withholds opportunities for underrepresented populations from reaching their full potential.
2019 Goal: Continue to celebrate and recruit team members and partners who’s diverse backgrounds will strengthen our company and our mission.

2018

Age.

Reality Check: People aged 50+ are underrepresented in the workplace, as most people in the technology industry are in their late 20s or early 30s.
2019 Goal: We need to be more transparent and intentional around recruiting from all demographics as we grow.

2018

Neurodiversity / Disability.

Reality Check: Neurodivergent and disabled individuals are underrepresented in the technology sector, and often face discrimination/difficulty meeting the requirements of prospective employers.
2019 Goal: We do not currently employ any neurodivergent or disabled individuals at CleanNow, and this needs to change in 2019.
